Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-Based Excercise)
The Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing qualification, in the context of gym based exercise aims to provide candidates with the knowledge and practical skills as an introduction into the fitness sector. The qualification is a basic requirement for anyone looking to begin a career in the health and fitness industry and gains you entry at level two of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). The qualification covers the physiological theories underpinning training principles and the correct techniques for performing resistance, free weights and core exercises. This qualification may also be suitable for those currently working within the sector and who are looking to development their knowledge and skills.
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Excercise and
Fitness (Gym-Based Excercise)
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness qualification, in the context of gym based exercise, is aimed at exercise and fitness instructors who are capable of planning, delivering and evaluating a series of sessions independently. In the planning of programmes, individuals will be drawing on a large body of knowledge and experiences and will sometimes include input from other professionals.
Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
The NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training is an ideal qualification for those in the exercise and fitness sector who wish to complement their existing skills. Learners must have achieved the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing before they enrol on this qualification. The qualification aims to provide learners with the understanding and practical skills needed to work as a Personal Trainer in a variety of settings. This includes understanding health and safety in a fitness environment, customer service, anatomy and physiology, personal training programmes and sessions, and nutrition. Learners successfully completing this qualification will be able to gain access to the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) at level 3.
